About me...

I was born in Paris but I lived pretty much all my childhood in the South of France near Marseille. I was always creative growing up and always looking for new ways to express myself. I played the piano for 8 years and practiced ballet, which chanelled my creativity while I was growing up. When I was 18, I had finished high school and had to make a professional choice. I visited several art schools, but the safe choice (and the one of my teachers) was to go to a business school. So that's what I did, and since then I put arts aside and focused on a business career. I travelled a lot for my studies, lived in Washington DC, Nice, Shanghai, Madrid, Paris and Rotterdam where I currently live. I learned how to speak English, Spanish, Chinese and Dutch, and I met a lot of wonderful people.

In the beginning of 2014 I fell ill, and it was the beginning of a new chapter of my life. My illness forced me to stop working and rethink my priorities, and that's suddenly when my creative side emerged for the first time in years. I had to create to live again, to survive, and to prove that I existed. Painting had become my outet, and with the love and support of my friends and family I could slowly recover.

It is a journey from inside that I am sharing here with you, of all the storms and movements that are happening in my mind. Translating them onto a blank canvas is an experience on its own, a delightful surprise that takes the mind on beautiful adventures, and I feel so blessed and grateful to be able to share them with you.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any comments or questions, or if you just want to say hi 🙂

Love,  Julie
